Having lived on the southside of Binghamton my entire life, I have seen our community change over the years. This area is my home, and I believe it is crucial that we guide our district and direct spending in a way that truly benefits my neighbors. Serving this community has been my life's work—as a local funeral home owner, a volunteer firefighter, and a retired police officer. Running to be your next county legislator is simply the continuation of that lifelong dedication. I am ready to bring my commitment to county government to ensure our local spending directly supports the people who live here. Electing me will allow me to continue serving the community I love.
Right now, Broome County has 15 legislators who end up voting the exact same way far too often. I believe we can do better for our community, and we can do it while saving money. That is why I support reducing the number of legislators from 15 down to seven. Streamlining our local government will cut costs and bring real, direct accountability back to the people. When we focus our leadership, every representative has to answer clearly to the neighbors they serve. Cutting the legislature to seven members is a commonsense step toward a more efficient, cost-effective local government. I am committed to making sure Broome County spends our resources wisely and holds our local leaders accountable to you.
Right now, the cost of owning and keeping a home on the Southside just keeps climbing. Families and neighbors across our community are feeling that burden every single day. That is why I am focused on making sure our local taxes stay low and truly affordable. Keeping taxes manageable is essential to maintaining the character of our neighborhood, ensuring that long-time residents can afford to stay right here in the place we call home. Beyond that, keeping our taxes low is a vital tool for holding local leaders accountable for how public funds are managed. If elected, I will stand up for practical, responsible decisions that protect our homeowners, preserve our Southside community, and keep our local government honest and accountable to the people it serves.
Having lived here on the southside my entire life, I have a deep, long-term perspective on our neighborhood—how it has changed and what we need to do to maintain the core of what makes it special. My story is rooted right here in this community. Growing up, I delivered newspapers all across the district, spent my summers working at MacArthur Park and Booth Field, and played Little League on our local fields. Those experiences gave me a genuine understanding of our people and our streets. I know what makes the southside our home, and I am dedicated to preserving that true spirit of community as we look to the future.
Like many of my fellow Southside residents, hard work is simply a part of our upbringing. It is how I was raised, and it is how I live my life every day—working hard for my family, my friends, and my neighbors. With your support, I am ready to bring that same dedication to representing us and bringing the county's focus right back into our district where it belongs. If you have not known who your legislator was in the past, I promise you will know who I am in the future. My working background defines how I operate, and I will make sure our entire community is always kept fully informed.
